1975; KINGFISH ( ROUND RECORDS )
Recorded with the original lineup of Dave Torbert, Matt Kelly, Robbie Hoddinott, Chris Herold, and Bob Weir ( on loan from The Grateful Dead ); Barry Flast was out of town when these sessions originally took place, but his keyboard parts and harmony vocals were eventually added when the album was remixed and remastered for release on compact disc in 1990.
1977; LIVE 'N' KICKIN' ( JET RECORDS )
Recorded at The Roxy nightclub in Hollywood, California with the original lineup, but was then revamped and overdubbed on by Matt Kelly with the help of Barry Flast, Michael O'Neill and Dave Perper who added backing vocal tracks at Bob Weir's home studio in Mill Valley, California. This was the album that launched the second lineup of the band in May 1977 with a promotional tour featuring Dave Torbert, Matt Kelly, Barry Flast, Michael O'Neill and David Perper.
1978; TRIDENT ( JET RECORDS )
Recorded with the second lineup of the band, but without Barry Flast who had been replaced just prior to these sessions by Bob Hogins. This group would morph into the third lineup of the band the following year with the addition of hot young singer/guitarist Danny "Rio" DeGennaro; that lineup became the fourth to go out on tour in 1979 with Dave Torbert, Michael O'Neill, Danny DeGennaro, Ralph Liberto and Steve Shive (Matt Kelly chose not to participate in this version of the group).
1985; KINGFISH : TORBERT MEMORIAL ( RELIX RECORDS )
A pastiche of assorted tracks from every era of the bands history released as a tribute to the late Dave Torbert who had passed away in 1983 of a heart attack. Matt Kelly and Barry Flast compiled the album as a "deal sweetener" for Les Kippel and Relix Records who wanted a Kingfish album to go along with the upcoming release of Matt Kelly's solo project "A Wing And A Prayer". The "blue" album (as it was called at the time) featured out-takes from the "Live N Kickin" masters, out-takes from Kelly's solo project, a couple of tracks from "The Choice" (a band that Flast, Kelly and Fred Campbell were gigging with at the time of Torbert's passing) and some assorted other oddities.
1986; KINGFISH : ALIVE IN 85 ( RELIX RECORDS )
A not-very-live-at-all album recorded by the 1985 lineup of the band, featuring Barry Flast, Matt Kelly, Garth Webber, Dave Perper, Steve Evans, and a rare appearance of original lead guitarist Robbie "Ribs" Hoddinott; recorded at Prairie Sun Studio in Sonoma, California ( and only Matt Kelly knows why they chose to label it as "recorded live at The Sweetwater"). Significant for the inclusion of Barry Flast's song "Rumor At The Honky Tonk",
a song he had originally written for the "Trident" sessions, but when he was let go from the band, wound up recording it with his own group "Spellbound" in the spring of 1978 and had the satisfaction of having it become a "Hot 100 Hit" on the Billboard charts that summer for EMI America Records.

1987 ; KINGFISH : A NIGHT IN NEW YORK ( RELIX RECORDS )
A moment frozen in time when the band began their promotional tour for the "Live N Kickin" album in May 1977, a somewhat lavish six-week party thrown by Jet records; the second lineup of the band played a two-night, sold out stint at My Fathers Place in Roslyn, Long Island that was broadcast live via the King Biscuit Flower Hour throughout thirteen states in the northeastern quadrant of the country on WLIR radio; Barry Flast, being an avid tape archivist, had made arrangements with the engineer in the Record Plant truck who was mixing the live feed to record a cassette master for him which he then zealously guarded for the next ten years until finally offering it up to Les Kippel for release on Relix Records, who was eager to release it to the public due as much to the raw excitement of the performance as to the wonderful quality of the recording. Featuring Dave Torbert, Barry Flast, Matt Kelly, Michael O'Neill and Dave Perper; it has all the classic Kingfish tunes plus two new Flast originals, "A Taste Of The Devil" and "Right Direction".
1999 ; KINGFISH : SUNDOWN ON THE FOREST ( PHOENIX RISING RECORDS)
The swan song of the band, but hardly the "Matt Kelly Opus" as the liner notes foolishly refer to it as; the album combines tracks produced by Barry Flast in 1991 at Fantasy Studios and tracks produced by Matt Kelly in 1987 at Prairie Sun. It was onto these tracks that Kelly ( with Flasts reluctant assistance) added new lead vocals by Danny DeGennaro (curiously credited as "Danny Rio") and Jenni (daughter of Maria) Muldaur; he also threw on a duet on Country Joe McDonald's "Starship Ride" featuring Barry Flast and Bob Weir, as well as having Bob sing lead on another Flast production, "Padlock Cufflinks", plus the standout DeGennaro performance on the title song.
